  • Benny Bell
    Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer

    Benny Bell joined the TriSummit Bank team in early 2007 as the Chief Credit Officer. He brought 34 years of financial services experience to his position at TriSummit Bank after having served as a senior vice-president and senior underwriter with AmSouth Bank and its predecessor, First American National Bank, for 10 years in the Tri-Cities area.

    Prior to coming to the Tri-Cities, Bell spent 19 years with Nations Bank and its predecessor banks in the Abingdon, Virginia area.

    Bell holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech in 1971, and completed the Virginia Banker School in 1981, as well as the Stonier Graduate School of Banking in 1990.

  • Pam Bowman
    Vice President and Human Resources Director

    Pam Bowman joined TriSummit Bank as Human Resources Director and Banking Officer in 2008.

    Bowman brought 39 years experience in the financial services industry to the bank. Her experience includes work in operations, security, trust and branch administration with AmSouth Bank and its predecessor banks.

    She is a graduate of the Tennessee School of Banking at Vanderbilt, and the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University.

    A graduate of Leadership Kingsport, her volunteer service includes American Institute of Banking, American Heart Association, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Leadership Kingsport, Shepherd Center, Small Miracles Therapeutic Riding Center, United Way of Greater Kingsport and Pet Therapy International.

     

  • Ted Fields
    Executive Vice President & Kingsport and Bristol Area Manager

    Ted Fields brought 19 years of banking experience to TriSummit Bank serving with both community and regional bank organizations in our market area.

    He began his financial services career in 1988 with Tri-City Bank as a branch manager, and then moved into regional sales management in 1994. He comes to TriSummit from Branch Banking and Trust (BB&T), where he served two years as vice-president responsible for sales and service leadership.

    He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from East Tennessee State University, and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University, and the Southeastern School of Banking at Vanderbilt University.

    He was recognized in the Tri-Cities Business Journal as a member of the 2004 class of “40 under 40.” Active in the community, he currently serves on the boards of United Way of Greater Kingsport, Kingsport Chamber of Commerce, and Wellmont Foundation Board of Governors.

  • Vince Hickam
    Johnson City President and Chief Lending Officer

    Vince Hickam joined TriSummit Bank in November 2007 bringing more than 35 years of banking experience in commercial lending and senior bank management to the bank. He most recently served for seven years as executive vice president for First Tennessee Bank National Association with responsibility for asset quality of a $650 million commercial loan portfolio, and the growth and profitability of business banking for Northeast Tennessee.

    Prior to the appointment as executive vice president, Hickam served for 10 years as senior vice president and manager of commercial banking for Johnson City. A 1974 graduate of University of South Carolina, he holds a baccalaureate degree in history and a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University.

    Hickam has also been an active leader in the Johnson City community serving as 2006 Chairman of the Johnson City/Washington County Chamber of Commerce, 2005 Chairman and 2003 Campaign Chairman of Johnson City/Washington County United Way. He currently serves as a United Way director and is past chairman of the Church Council for Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church.

  • Jerome Julian
    President, Lakeway Area 

    Jerome Julian brings 28 years of diverse financial leadership experience in all aspects of banking to TriSummit Bank. He most recently served for the past three years as the Northeast Tennessee market president for SunTrust Bank. Prior to assuming that position, Julian served in a number of capacities over the course of his career including Private Wealth Management Medical Specialty Group Team Lead and Business Banking Line of Business Manager for East Tennessee region, and Retail Area Manager for Hamblen, Knox and Sevier Counties. He began his banking career in 1984 with SunTrust as an account and quickly moved into leadership roles, including Bank Operations Manager for the East Tennessee Region.

    Julian is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville, where he earned a baccalaureate degree in business administration with a major in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and also a graduate of the Consumer Banking Association Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at the University of Virginia.

    Julian has been an active volunteer in the Tri-Cities and currently serves on the American Heart Association’s Tri-Cities Executive Leadership Team and is involved with the ETSU Foundation. He has also held leadership positions with several other community and civic organizations including United Way of Washington County, 2011 corporate fundraising chair for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2011 team membership chair and board member for the Johnson City, Washington County, Jonesborough Chamber of Commerce, and board member for the Kingsport Office of Small Business Development and Entrepreneurship.

  • George Schneider
    Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer

    George Schneider joined TriSummit Bank in October 2005 as Executive Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer.

    His responsibilities include directing the finance, accounting, information technology, operations, compliance, audit, human resources and security functions of the bank.

    Schneider has more than 30 years experience as a bank chief financial officer. He came to TriSummit after five years with Jackson Bank & Trust Company in Cookeville, Tenn., where he had the same responsibilities as in his position at TriSummit Bank.

    A U.S. Navy veteran, Schneider holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Memphis where he graduated cum laude. He is also a graduate of The School for Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin; and is a certified public accountant.

  • Ryiah Staton
    Vice President and Marketing Officer

    Ryiah Staton joined TriSummit Bank in 2007 as a Consumer Relationship Manager at the Bristol Financial Center in Bristol, VA. and was promoted a short time later to Assistant Financial Center manager there. In 2010 she was promoted to Marketing Officer.

    Prior to joining TriSummit Bank she worked as a financial specialist for Wachovia Bank in Bristol, VA.

    Staton received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from King College in 2004. Active in the community, she served as a member of the YWCA Junior Board of Directors, Bristol Speech and Hearing and a United Way of Bristol volunteer. She has also served as an ambassador for the Bristol Chamber of Commerce. Currently she is a volunteer for United Way Virginia Highlands and a member of the Campaign Cabinet and Event Chair for the United Way of Greater Kingsport.

  • Phil Wampler
    Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer

    Phil Wampler brings 31 years of banking experience to TriSummit Bank. He came to TriSummit Bank from GreenBank where he served as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer. He began his banking career in 1981 as Compliance and Loan Documentation Officer for Jefferson County Bank and continued to move into leadership roles there and with First Tennessee Bank.

    Wampler a graduate of East Tennessee State University, holds a degree in business administration with a minor in finance. He is also is a graduate of the ABA School of Compliance and the ABA Graduate School of Compliance.

    Wampler is active in his community and is a member of the First Baptist Church of Morristown.

  • Debra Williams
    Senior Vice President and Senior Operations Officer

    Debra Williams joined the TriSummit Bank management team in February 2006 as Senior Vice President and Senior Operations Officer. She is responsible for development and oversight of branch operations, compliance and security.

    Williams has more than 32 years of banking experience in branch operations and deposit services. Prior to coming to TriSummit, she served four years as Senior Area Branch Operations Officer for AmSouth Bank, supervising operations for 86 branches from the Tri-Cities to Chattanooga.

    As an active community volunteer, Williams worked for a number of years on the Tri-Cities United Way Day of Caring Steering Committee, as well as other community activities.
